CRITIC'S CORNER

Passages is like a meticulous watchmaking task which Clode Hamelin specializes in. It is a logical outcome after a long and diversified career as a cellist, guitarist and composer, creating sound tracks for audio-visual productions. Passages  really is “new music”, a stylistic fusion of classical writing, orchestral textures, modern instrumentation, electric guitar recordings, all played by the composer,  using today’s technology.

Hamelin’s desire was to create an evocative and powerful opus charged with lyrical emotions conveying the listener to a deep touching inner journey.  Passages is how Hamelin says,  “a movie without images”.
